Sunil Puri Inducted into Rockford Area Business Hall of Fame
(RRStar, Mar 12, 2009, Alex Gary)- Fred Young, who has headed Forest City Gear since 1968, and Sunil Puri, president and founder of First Rockford Group, will be this year’s inductees into the Rockford Area Business Hall of Fame.
Larry Messing, president of Junior Achievement of Rock River Valley, will make the announcement Friday. The local JA chapter launched the hall of fame in 1989 and inducted 52 people through 2002, when it was discontinued because of a lack of funds.
Junior Achievement revived it last year by inducting Bergstrom Inc. leader David Rydell and Jon Lundin, president of the Abilities Center.
